Online Urinary Incontinence Session

Take the 1st step to improve your condition or prevent it!

Urinary incontinence is the loss of bladder control that results in urine leakage.

Women are 3x more likely to experience urinary incontinence. It affects up to 40% of women worldwide and 1 in 2 women over the age of 50. Although common, urinary incontinence is NOT part of the natural ageing process. 70% of those with this condition do not seek advice and treatment. They adapt their behaviors to minimise the chances of leaking and social embarrassment, severely impacting their social lives and self esteem.

Your bladder and urethra are intricately linked to your pelvic floor since the pelvic floor supports the bladder and plays a role in the contraction AND relaxation of the sphincters, either to withhold urine as the bladder fills, or to allow for urination. Your primary breathing muscle, the diaphragm and how well it works has a direct correlation to how well your pelvic floor functions.

Hence, optimal breathing is first and foremost for the health of your pelvic floor and may help you improve milder cases of incontinence.

This video will help you:

- become aware of your current breathing patterns

- learn how to breathe better as your first step for better organ health and deep core health

- start challenging your core stability, if you are ready for it

BodyTree Women’s Wellness programs are designed to address the changes that happen throughout a woman’s life. Our fitness programs take into account the physiological changes and are tailored to support these transitions instead of resisting them. As women of different ages and various stages of womanhood, we are faced with extraordinary changes and challenges. While often sources of anxiety, they also provide unique opportunities for us to recalibrate, find ourselves again and potentially live a better life than we’ve ever known!
